Keith Claybrook, Jr contributed to the fact that Black identity and Black reclamation are the basis of Afrofuturism. Without the scientific context, Afrofuturism is the progression of blacks in this world. Historical events, art, and culture stands are evidence of Afrofuturism and showcase how blacks got their voice back. The Harlem Renaissance was a period of cultural and artistic creativity that occurred in Harlem, New York, in the 1920s and 1930s. Their use of art and fashion helped to break down societal boundaries and discriminatory stereotypes. This increased Black employment opportunities in the city and encouraged others in the South to move to northern states. The Black Panther Party was founded in 1966 in Oakland, California, as a self-defense organization. This was the era's most powerful violent Black power organization because its members fought politicians, battled the police, and protected Black civilians from mistreatment. The main goal for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is to ensure the political, informative, and social equality of minority group members of states while also eliminating racial discrimination. The NAACP strives to eliminate all forms of racial prejudice through democratic methods. Black Lives Matter (BLM) is a social and political movement that opposes racism and violence against Black people. Each of these organizations and groups contributes to our culture. The Harlem Renaissance featured music, fashion, and even food. These were the things that drew everyone together in a positive way. The Black Panther Party defended Blacks, and for the first time, Black people spoke up for themselves. They also had a ten-point agenda that demonstrated what black people want and need in order to survive in a white man's country. The NAACP advocated for improvement for individuals of all races, not only blacks. The BLM movement used social media to promote the advancement of Black people. People are given a social media platform and are using it to support Black people and bring the community together. Afrofuturism asserts that all forms of Black cultural and political expression promote the community's unity and demonstrate its potential. The movements described demonstrate how Black people have reclaimed their voices, resisted structural injustice, and inspired a vision for an equal society.
